What's your attitude?

What is the attitude when creating something to last? Here are the desk legs made in a hurry over the last three days. The work was entirely goal and result-driven. However, the aim is for these legs and eventually the table to serve hopefully for many years to come. I am balancing efficient work, the time spent on the work, and the desire for durability and longevity..

Even if something is made in a rush, it can be formed to be interesting and lasting, like all the mechanical joints and precision on them, highlighting the joinery as a visual element and making connections with my previous works as well as the table's theoretical (and hopefully practical) functionality. But still, it feels like when making something to last, the process should take more than a few rushed days.. Sometimes there is just lack of control over timeframes.
